Help us welcome our newest member of the team, Stewart Taylor!

Stewart joins the CSEI team as a Project Coordinator. Having received his Journeyman's License in the Electrical trade in 2021 through the BANCF program at Santa Fe College, Stewart brings a unique perspective to the team. Having a variety of experience in the field through his apprenticeship and two years as a Journeyman he brings a wide range of practical knowledge to the projects we work on.

In his free time, Stewart enjoys many different hobbies and spending time with friends and meeting new people. Sailing is the sport of choice when outdoors, while video/tabletop games or a good fantasy novel when indoors. Everything crammed in between a list of woodworking, 3D printing, and electrical projects that seems to never end. To learn more about Steward, or to say hello, click here!

Campbell Spellicy Engineering participates in Family Promise Bed Race

The Family Promise Annual Bed Race to End Childhood Homelessness was a huge success and we had so much fun together building and racing our bed! The event is a metaphor for what families go through when trying to find a safe place to sleep at night. Through the collaboration of local faith and civic groups, the Family Promise of Gainesville mission is to provide families experiencing homelessness with compassionate care that includes case management, education, housing, meals and transportation until they can transition to a home of their own.

This event helps sustain their programs throughout the year! For more information, click here!

Campbell Spellicy Engineering tables at Santa Fe College Construction Career Fair

This year is flying by, and Summer is upon us! To prepare, Kevin, Lesley, and Oscar attended our first Santa Fe College Construction Career Fair! It was a beautiful day and nice turn out talking to SFC students and advisors. Many of the students were thrilled to hear that our Internships are geared towards AA, AS, or relevant technical degrees.

Our team also has some ties to SFC, Oscar, a SFC Student Ambassador, completed his AA at SFC then transferred to UF to complete his BS in Electrical Engineering. And Lesley is a SFC Alumni with A.S. in Business Administration - Management. We all enjoyed being back on campus and thinking back to the old college days! Are you or someone you know interested in learning more about our internships? Click here!

Campbell Spellicy Engineering employees serve meals at GRACE Marketplace's Cafe 131

As always, we had a great time serving meals at GRACE Marketplace's Cafe 131! About ten years ago, Gainesville resident and homeless advocate Pat Fitzpatrick rallied local residents in convincing the city to overturn a policy limiting soup kitchens to serving only 130 meals per day. The dining room is named Cafe 131 to honor Pat's legacy and advocacy work to help erase the 130-meal limit from Gainesville's books.

Serving meals at GRACE is a great opportunity for individuals and groups to directly help people in need in our community. Are you and your team, friends, or family looking to help make a difference together? Gather and sign up to serve a warm meal for those experiencing homelessness by clicking here.

Campbell Spellicy Engineering employees participate in the 2023 The Amazing Give for charity

Save the date! Next year’s Amazing Give will be held on April 25th from 8am to 8pm and will be lead by the Junior League of Gainesville Florida! This year, we divided, conquered, and celebrated together! Kevin, Jose, Jorge, and crew attended Rebuilding Together North Central Florida’s wrap-up party together at Daft Cow Brewery. And Lesley attended the wrap up party at Celebration Pointe! We loved seeing so many community partners and friends including Shareen with DREAM on Purpose, Stephanie with Peaceful Paths, JT with GRACE Marketplace, and Steve and Julianne with the Greater Gainesville Chamber of Commerce!

A big thanks to everyone who gave to and supported The Amazing Give 2023! You showed that when the community comes together, we truly can change the world. This year’s Amazing Give was hosted by the Community Foundation of North Central Florida for local nonprofits dedicated to building a stronger community. Your donation goes beyond any one organization's mission, as your support celebrates the philanthropic spirit and generosity that unites our community. We cannot wait for next year!
